Letter to All

Members of the UNSC,


I come today to speak about an important issue that needs to be addressed in a formal manner. Our clan, the UNSC, is at a place and time where none of us wish to see. There is no time to sweeten the message I have to say to you. The facts and trends are shown in front of us and we can not deny it. The UNSC is at an all time low; meaning at the rate we are going, the UNSC will be disbanded and no longer existent within the DF community.

Now, I’ve been leader of this clan since May 2008 and I have seen the ups and downs. And when the waves hit us, we held on and endured each challenge that came to us. Now, never before have we met a challenge so formidable that may break down one of the earliest and oldest clans in DF. As the leader, I have made decisions on the things that should be run to maintain this clan. However, not all decisions were perfect or benefited everyone. So I take this time to sincerely apologize for the members I have given hardship to or caused the inconvenience.

In order to ensure continued growth and stability in the UNSC, I am going to reorganize the clan structure, management, and assets so that it is in the best interest of the members. These new changes will allow a more diplomatic approach in voicing new ideas and changes. So, let us get together and start a new direction towards the way of doing things. A new way where you can have an equal role in the clan and have fun at the same time.

I look forward in working with you to ensure that you are in the best clan to join. As we are slowly reaching year five of being founded, I would like to thank your continued faith, support, and loyalty in this clan. For the new members who have joined us, I welcome you in joining this great clan. So let us work together not as a leader and a member, but as a family in building and shaping this clan. Thank you for your time in reading this and I hope we will reach our Golden Age once again.

Ideas:
1. Expansion of member base by recruitment and perhaps adjust rank requirements using different ways of media.
2. A board of people consisting of 5 taking charge of clan related decisions including one member non-UNSc affiliated. Board only intervenes on matters that concern the continued well being of the UNSC.
3. UNSC should Focus on what appeals to members allowing members take center stage
4. Update website, similar to http://swordbreak.enjin.com/
5. Appoint group/person to make website and a second in charge
6. Focus on building a big clan then switch to AF vs. focus all effort in AF first
7. Move base of ops to DS or P13 and establish HQ at FP.
8. Ben can manage Wiki or clan website due to the ban.

Clan thread updated in DF. Lots of new things added and removed from the last post.

Oh, more restructuring?

I am planning to remodel this forum. I'm back for a short while since I don't like being idle.

So if you want something changed to your preferences please let me know ASAP so I can quickly make the changes.

I think my break is about 2 weeks.

Is there a way to make this more easier and lively on here? A place to post up mission nights etc? Also, I wrote some things down in your other post.

You can use the calendar to manage events. It has always been there for organizing events.

There is also a Newsletter for those who likes to post updates on this clan and DF stuff. That too have always been around, just not being used.

We have the tools to make things happen, just need to start using it and need to get the people on board with the program.

Hard at first, but once we get the ball rolling and keep it rolling, we have an active community.

Just require some commitment, dedication, and creativity.
